TEQBALL MEN'S SINGLES FINAL: OYEMADE LOOKS TO DEFEND TITLE AGAINST YAHAYA'S CHALLENGE
The stage is set for the highly anticipated Teqball Men’s Singles Gold Medal Match between Victor Oyemade (Delta) and Khalid Yahaya (Abia). The Men’s Singles Gold Medal match is scheduled to take place today at the Aba Sports Club Indoor Hall, Aba, from 2:30 pm.
Victor Oyemade, the reigning champion representing Delta State, is looking forward to defending his title in the Men’s Singles event against his former teammate Khalid Akorede now representing Abia State. Khalid, known for his exceptional skills and technique, is determined to dethrone the champion and bring the gold medal to Abia.
The match promises to be an intense and thrilling encounter, with both players showcasing their expertise and fighting for the top spot on the podium. The winner will be crowned the Teqball Men’s Singles Gold Medalist and represent Nigeria at the Teqball World Championship later in the year.
Oyemade defeated Opeyemi Oladipupo from Oyo 2 – 0 (12 – 4, 12 – 4) in the quarter-final, and Andrew Ikoko 2 – 0 (12 – 3, 12 – 7) in the semi-finals while Akorede defeated Enebechukwu Mikel 2 – 0 (12 – 1, 12 – 9) in the quarter-final and Tobi Mejedi 2 – 1 (12 – 6, 10 – 12, 12 – 9).
